Top 3 Factors That Determine Commercial Landscaping Costs

Jul 18, 2018 in Commercial landscaping

One of the first questions many companies want to know when searching for commercial landscaping services is how much it’s going to cost. It’s not exactly an easy question to answer. Similar to buying a car, there are many things that factor into the price. For example, there are plenty of extras that you can choose from that will increase the cost of your vehicle. Likewise, with commercial landscaping, there are a lot of additional services that you can have done to your property that will make the service more expensive. With that in mind, there are three core factors that will determine the cost of commercial landscaping services for your property.

1. Property Size

This is the most obvious consideration commercial landscaping services use to set a price. Generally speaking, the bigger the property the higher the cost will be. However, there are exceptions. If your property is relatively small but requires special attention or equipment, the price could be higher than a property of the same square footage that is a flat square.

2. Scope of Work

In commercial landscaping, the scope of work is the regular lawn maintenance that your supplier provides on each visit. Standard commercial property maintenance typically includes:

  • lawn mowing
  • trimming & edging
  • tree pruning
  • fertilizer
  • mulching
  • irrigation inspection
  • cleanup

The cost of service will also be determined by your needs. Does your property need all of these basic services? What about additional services such as irrigation repair or tree removal.

3. Frequency of Service

Most commercial landscaping costs include one visit per week. But a supplier can adjust the schedule to fit your property’s needs, so if once a week is too often you can cut back to bi-monthly service. It’s important to note, however, that doing so can affect the appearance of your property.
